This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Candle mobile application. By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

• Names, dates, notes, gift ideas, and photos you enter: The core of your circle and occasions, stored in the app's on-device database (stored on your device).
• Contacts (optional): Names, phone numbers, emails, birthdays, and photos of the specific contacts you choose to import, only when you tap Import from Contacts (stored on your device).
• Photos (optional): Accessed from your photo library or camera only at the moment you add a picture for someone, with your permission (stored on your device).
• Account and synced occasion data (optional, Premium): If you create an account, your occasion data is stored with our backend provider so it can be restored on your other devices (stored in the cloud).
• Subscription status: Managed by the App Store or Google Play; we never receive or store your payment details (stored in the cloud).

We collect nothing beyond what is listed above.

Your information is used only to provide and operate Candle and its features, to fix bugs, and to improve performance. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use the following third-party services:

These services may collect information as described in their own privacy policies.

All data transfers are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and data is stored with the providers listed above using industry-standard security measures.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, and deletion is permanent and irreversible. See the support page for step-by-step instructions.

Candle is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

• Opt out of notifications at any time via device settings.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time and will note significant changes by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
